Jonathan's Accomplishments
Mostly, I do this because I love helping people and helping their dogs! I have trained dogs as a hobby since 1977 and professionally since 1988. I have developed my own methods combining my studies at the Balu Academy (the only accredited Professional Dog Obedience Instructors school in California) with my experience working with over 4000 clients and more than 5000 dogs in the past 15 years.
I have attended seminars and furthered my studies on dog behavior. I have been or currently maintain membership in The National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, The Dog Obedience Instructors and Trainers Association and The Society of North American Dog Trainers. Many veterinarians, stores and groomers throughout Los Angeles have recommended me. I have worked with many rescue organizations including Friends of Animals, Pet Adoption Fund and Pet Orphans, as well as acting as the principal training consultant for The Doris Day Foundation and Adopt-A-Chow. I have been featured on KNX News Radio, NBC's "Hard Copy", and The Evening Outlook. I have given expert testimony in Los Angeles Department of Animal Regulation hearings and in Municipal and Superior Court in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
